David and Frances Hawkins, passionate and dedicated
educators, learned so
they could teach, and taught so they could learn. David’s widely
influential theories on education crossed the domains of economics,
physics, mathematics, biology, social and political science. With
depth and subtlety, his wife Frances, through years of classroom
experience, documented in books and journal articles the many ways in
which
children learn. They drew upon each other's work, and together
connected with thousands of students and colleagues worldwide.
